I have tried the above suggested fixes and more with no success. Combine that with the fact that with my original install I had to contact tech support to get the program to play nice with Windows (and believe me I'm kicking myself because I didn't take better notes) and I suspect something as simple as a Windows update has caused the problem. I must agree with you that programs don't "break", but since Easy VHS to DVD3 plus DID WORK and I DID use to capture, edit and burn to DVD, 5 VHS pre-recorded tapes on. Lastly one should never, EVER run any 3 rd party program to do something that effects your OS!!!!!!!! This includes Registry Cleaners or anything that claims it can "improve" anything In business, government or even as a parent, do you really want to allow Anyone to be able to load Anything onto your PC/Network Those are OS limitations that the vast majority WELCOME If you want to take a chance that an overzealous av program will mistake and block part of an install, be my guest! We call that a self inflected woundĪdministrator vs Minion Privileges. This is nothing NEW! The compile choices were available for 8 & 16 bit, then 16 & 32 bit and currently 32 & 64 bit.
While 32 bit compilations do go into the X86 Folder it is these multiple Registry entries that supply the calling 'hooks' to the proper file locations. Programs compiled for 32 or 64 bit have the SAME files and make the same Registry entries (small differences exist in file contents and locations based on 32 or 64 bit requirements)
